I find that most people in the US just parrot slogans and brief talking points from others with similar views. They'll claim they did their "own research", but if you ask where they wont' answer.

You can also ask them to define the latest popular word or phrase (supposed insult?) and they often cannot give a coherent response.

You would think that it is obvious that people from poor countries would want to immigrate to a more developed country, but to assume that everyone is just jealous and dying to come to the US is delusional.
